Emotional Regulation, Confidence & Problem-Solving

Helping children understand and manage emotions, build confidence and strengthen thinking skills for everyday challenges. Our therapy supports children in recognising and managing their emotions in safe, age-appropriate ways. We help build resilience and confidence while teaching essential problem-solving strategies that can be applied in the classroom, at home and in peer interactions. We support children in developing self-awareness and the tools to manage their emotions in everyday situations. Using evidence-based approaches such as co-regulation, social narratives and modelling, our sessions help children build emotional literacy, resilience and self-confidence. We also embed age-appropriate problem-solving strategies into play to help children navigate challenges, make decisions and develop flexible thinking.

Cognitive, Language & Communication Development

We support language and communication through play-based therapy. We use interactive play-based approaches to support your child’s memory, attention and processing skills. Our sessions target expressive and receptive language development to improve communication, understanding instructions and asking for help. We focus on attention, following multi-step instructions, working memory, early numeracy and literacy foundations and developing verbal and non-verbal communication. Whether your child is learning to speak, needs support with sentence structure or is struggling with processing language, we provide personalised sessions that target these essential developmental areas.

Social Interaction Skills

We support your child with turn-taking, friendships and communication for stronger peer relationships. We help children learn to share, respond appropriately to peers and navigate common social situations. Learning to interact with others is an important part of early development, we support children in building the social confidence, use appropriate body language and read social cues. Our sessions often use social play, group games and structured turn-taking activities to promote connection and empathy. We work collaboratively with teachers to embed these skills in classroom routines.

Fine & Gross Motor Development

Our therapy focuses on improving hand strength, pencil grasp and core stability through fun play-based activities. We target the physical skills children need to learn and participate independently. We support fine motor skills like pencil grasp, scissor use, finger strength and coordination for daily tasks such as drawing, selfcare tasks or using cutlery. We work on gross motor development, focusing on whole-body movements like balance and core strength. Our motor development sessions play-based movement activities and are adapted to each child’s developmental stage.

Sensory Processing Support

Many children experience sensory sensitivities that affect their attention, mood and behaviour. We help families understand their child's sensory profile and implement calming or alerting strategies to support regulation and participation in daily life. We work with families to understand their child’s unique sensory profile whether they're sensory seeking, avoidant or hypersensitive in certain environments. Our sessions incorporate sensory integration techniques, visual supports, movement breaks and calming strategies to help children regulate their sensory systems and feel comfortable and in control across home, school and community settings.

School Readiness & Transition Support

Starting school is a big step, we support the development of independence, emotional readiness, communication and learning behaviours to ensure your child feels prepared, safe and excited for the transition into formal education. We support children and families to build the emotional, social and cognitive skills needed for a smooth and confident move into the school environment. Our focus includes following routines, managing emotions, interacting with peers and understanding school expectations. We also liaise with teachers and support teams to create a shared understanding of your child’s strengths, challenges and strategies for success in the classroom.
