Healing Nest supports goals often worked on in OT and speech therapy such as communication, emotional regulation, sensory processing, social skills, motor skills and school readiness through play-based NDIS early childhood support.
Long therapy waitlists do not mean your child has to wait to start support. Your child can still start early support while waiting for other therapy appointments. Healing Nest provides mobile NDIS Early Childhood Support through play-based early intervention with sessions delivered at home, kindergarten and school.

Play Therapy
We use Play Therapy as a central part of our early intervention approach. Play is a child’s natural way of expressing themselves, exploring the world and working through emotions. In play therapy we use carefully chosen toys, games and activities to help children communicate, build skills and feel safe while doing so.​
​​All Play Therapy at Healing Nest is delivered by a qualified early childhood professional with specialised training in child development and therapeutic play. We adapt each session to suit your child’s individual needs, using play as a powerful tool for growth​

Key Worker Model
We use the Key Worker model as part of our commitment to delivering coordinated, family-centred early intervention. Your Key Worker is a primary therapist who builds a strong and trusting relationship with your child and family. Rather than having to work with multiple therapists separately, the Key Worker becomes your main point of contact.

They are a qualified professional such as an early childhood teacher, allied health assistance or early intervention specialist who becomes your primary point of contact. Your Key Worker will deliver therapy across multiple areas of development and they will also coordinate with other allied health professionals when required such as speech pathologists, occupational therapists or psychologists
Your Key Worker will deliver therapeutic services on behalf of other professionals when appropriate and will consult with them as needed. They will also communicate with your child’s educators to support learning and development across all settings.

Sounds-Write Program
Sounds-Write is a structured and explicit literacy intervention delivered by a certified Sounds-Write practitioners. It is suitable for children aged 4 and above and is especially beneficial for those with reading difficulties, language delays or learning differences such as dyslexia.

The program is taught in a fun and developmentally appropriate way using multi-sensory techniques that keep children motivated and involved. Sessions are tailored to your child’s level and can be delivered as a standalone program or integrated with other early intervention goals.
